Tired of seeing those scrapes and scuffs on your walls or baseboards? Let’s look at ways to remove unwanted scrapes and scruffs in your home.

“1. Keep It Simple
It happens seemingly in an instant: Your pristine walls are suddenly dingy with black nicks, scribbles, and scratches. Bummer. The second you notice a fresh mark, make it your business to banish it by gently wiping down your wall with a sponge dipped in plain water. If that works, fantastic! If not, try the following tips in order until those marks are history.
2. Have a Ball
Tennis balls work great for removing scuffs off walls, doors, and baseboards, says author and cleaning expert Debbie Sardone. Here’s how: “Take a tennis ball, cut an X on it, and insert a broom stick for an awesome floor-scuff-removing tool.” No cleaner needed!
3. Try Something Sudsy
Give your H2O a bit of extra juice. For scuffs, Sabrina Fierman, vice president of premier NYC cleaning firm New York’s Little Elves, prefers using liquid Ivory soap diluted in a little water and a clean rag. “If something stronger is needed, try an all-purpose cleaner, depending on the wall surface,” she says. Wallpaper and delicate paint finishes require extra TLC.
4. Go Natural
No surprise: Everyone’s favorite, affordable eco-cleaner—baking soda—also removes scuffs. It’s mildly abrasive and works magic on painted surfaces. Mix four tablespoons of the stuff to one quart of warm water and apply with a damp sponge. Wipe off with a clean, dry cloth. If the scuffs are stubborn, make a paste and gently scrub the marks with a cotton swab.” To read the entire article click here.
